The Tri-Cities Cask Beer Fall Festival was a roaring success! Held November 19th from 11am to 5pm at the Burrard Public House, over 175 people came to taste the delicious cask ales, enjoy great food, and share the joy that Craft beer brings everywhere it goes.
This festival had a special addition, two casks used to make Craft beer cocktails. Mixologist and Burrard Public House manager Roland Mueller surprised and pleased everyone with this heady blending of craft and cocktail.
As usual, dozens of door prizes were given out to eager fans and CAMRA Vancouver was on site to provide a Safe Ride Home, with transit passes to keep people safe while they enjoyed themselves.
18 breweries made casks for this event:
- Moody Ales
- Yellow Dog Brewing
- The Parkside Brewery
- Twin Sails Brewing
- Russell Brewing Company
- Silver Valley Brewing
- Real Cask
- Trading Post Brewing
- Ravens Brewing
- Faculty Brewing Co.
- Axe & Barrel Brewing Co.
- Tri-Cities Cask Festival Association
- Central City Brewiers & Distillers
- Steamworks Brewery
- Phillips Brewing & Malting Co.
- Callister Brewing Co.
- Dageraad Brewing
The Tri-Cities Brew Club also made a cask in collaboration with The Burrard Public House and Moody Ales. This cask of London Porter was used as the base for one of the delicious craft cask cocktails.
The Tri-Cities Cask Festival would like to thank venue host Burrard Public House and their staff, CAMRA Vancouver, What’s Brewing BC, Snapd Tri-Cities BC, and Nick Nicholson Photography for their support. We also thank our wonderful volunteers who not only work tirelessly serving beer all day, but also get there early to set up the venue, carry (heavy!) casks, and generally make for a smooth-running and seamless day of cask beer:
You are the best!
The Festival would also like to thank all of the Craft Beer enthusiasts who attended: this was our finest event yet, and your support and enjoyment make this the most fun thing we can think of doing. We’ll be back for the Winter 2017 Cask Festival at the Executive Inn in Coquitlam. Tickets are more than half sold with over six weeks left to go before it opens–click the link to get your tickets now, before they’re all gone.
